LONG VERSION!:

This summer, for the first time ever, we are going to give you a chance to write a fun story and have a chance to win many prizes.

It’s easy. All you do is read a book you like, re-tell its story in just a few lines, and then re-write the story—your way! This means you can change the story any way you want. Change any part of the story—maybe put in new characters (good ones, evil ones,…), new events (new things that happen in the story), new locations (Dublin, Africa, Poland, America,…), and maybe take out some characters, events, locations… You are free to write the story YOUR way.

When you are done, you can email the story to Mr Stuart at talbotmrstuart@gmail.com or, if you don’t have a computer, just give it to Mr Stuart when you return on Thursday, 30th August. Mr Stuart will put up many of the stories on the school website during the summer. (If you are emailing it, make sure you write your name and what class you are going into.)
Everyone who enters will get a prize. AND the people whose stories are voted the best by other children and by other teachers will get extra prizes–the more children who enter, the bigger the prizes.
