On Monday 19th May the 6th class Enrichment Club went to Google Headquarters Barrow Street, Dublin City Centre. When we arrived first, we received nametags. Then, we went up to the Top Floor in an elevator. We emerged into a room that was more than twenty degrees Celsius! From this room we had an absolutely magnificent view over Dublin, all the way to the cloudy Dublin mountains. We then went down to the balcony, which had a similar view. We went all over the building and saw many people working! We even saw people chatting on computers. We actually got to have a video conference with a man in a different building called Andrew. He told us all about his job.
Next we also got to see a swimming pool, in an office building! Other things we saw of a similar nature include games rooms, pool tables and chess boards. We then then crossed the road into the second Google Building. There we got to see the faces of a lot of employees on the roof, the walls and the floor. We went into the cafe area and got sweets. The next thing we did to go into the big conference room that was just like a big cinema with no screen. We got too tell everyone one thing we learned about Google that day. Then we went back to school and went home. The End!
