Summer Fun (for programme)Hello all parents and guardians,

Please read this carefully (Or you can click here for this note in PDF). Thank you, Martin Stuart, Concert Coordinator (Tue 16th June)

  1. Timing – Due to time for make-up and class organisation, children for scene 1 (Castle) and scene 3 (The Lion King) are to arrive by 6.45, scene 2 (Frozen) by 7.00, scene 4 (Shrek) and scene 5 (Harry Potter) by 7.10, and scenes 6 (The Market) and 7 (The Wedding) by 7.15. The main characters in the play are to arrive by 6.30. The concert begins at 7.30.
  2. Snacks – On the night, your child will receive a bottle of water and a snack for free, thanks to Glanmore Foods.
  3. Shoes and Hair – Children are to wear light runners, not heavy shoes. Children with long hair are to have their hair off their face.
  4. Entrance Used on the Night – Natasha and Jenny will be welcoming you in to the hall through the entrance at the Teachers’ Car Park.
  5. Interval and Raffle – There will be a 10-minute interval after scene 4 when there’ll be a raffle with lots of prizes, organised by the Parents Association. Tickets are priced €2 for a strip of 5 tickets, and 3 strips for a fiver.
  6. Collecting Your Child – After the whole concert is over one parent/guardian per child will go through “the teachers’ entrance.” No‑one is allowed at any time to go through the busy backstage area (blue curtains). And then the parent/guardian will collect their child from the child’s teacher in the child’s classroom. And then head home hopefully happy and proud through the main gates which will be open then.
  7. DVDs – Two films of the Concert are being professionally recorded, one for each night. They act forever as great memories of a very special time in your child’s life. Each class will be busy on stage for about 10 minutes, acting, singing, and dancing. To ensure the best possible quality we are organising professionals to do the Sound and the Lights on the two nights. You can order a DVD for €20 of the night your child was in. You can do that on the night of the Concert; or you can do that in school. The DVDs will be delivered to the school on Friday 26th June and given to your child.
