This year, the Clondalkin Partnership (CPLN) sponsored an Art Project in our school. The three 5th classes took part. With the help of Jane, an artist, each child in 5th class researched an occupation that they might be interested in when they grow up. They all visited the library to get information about their chosen occupation. They then drew an image of what a person doing that particular job may look like on a large piece of card and they cut out the face. They each spent time painting the the image and creating a background.

It was  a fantastic project, and the fifth class children enjoyed creating their images while learning all about different occupations!

Today, the 5th classes displayed their work in the school hall. Their parents were invited in and some of the 3rd and 4th classes came down to view the art. The 6th classes already saw the art during the assembly in February. Have a look at the pictures!
