No doubt you have seen the new ‘Safe School Zone’ at the front of the school. That was built by South Dublin County Council during the summer, with the Active Travel team there leading the design and construction.
That team now want you to consider going to school without a car, where possible.
They’ve created this one-page sheet. It reminds us all of the benefits:
- we all save money,
- we keep the air clean for us to breathe in,
- we get healthier,
- and we improve our learning
It seems to us at Talbot that many of you already agree…. There seems to be fewer cars around the school. A big thanks to all those who still drive for driving slower and safer around the school. The children feel safer. Thanks!
