Grandparent’s Day

A big THANK YOU to all our Grandparents who visited our school today. We hope you enjoyed your lunch.

A big THANK YOU also to Glanmore for providing lunch for our grandparents, and to our Parent’s Association for running the show today.

Thanks to Val for the pictures – pictures below.

Grandparent’s Day – May 19th **Competition**

This year we are celebrating Grandparent’s Day on Friday May 19th. Grandparent’s are invited to the school hall at 11:15am for a healthy lunch, kindly supplied by GLANMORE FOODS (our school lunch providers). The children will then join the grandparents and we will celebrate the role our grandparents play in our lives. Invites have been sent home with the children, and I am asking that they be returned by this Friday, May 11th.

Also, I am asking children to write in the comments section why their grandparents are so important to them. I will put all the people who comment into a draw for some prizes.

Scoil Talbot Soccer Team

Talbot played out an entertaining 1-1 draw with Clonburris in the Clondalkin League today. We had some excellent chances throughout and their keeper saved well from Callum, Andrew, Ryan, Millie and Michael. Darragh and Cullen who played a half each in goal made some great finger-tip saves from their attacking players. The defence was superb throughout with Jude, Craig, David, Soheib, Afolarin and Toheeb making many important strong challenges. Captain Callum and Luke covered every blade of grass in the centre of midfield while Millie, Ryan, Emmanuel and Michael on the wings got forward at every opportunity. It was our strikers who combined to earn us a draw at the end with Jamie playing a sublime pass into Andrew who finished into the top corner from a difficult angle.

Team: Darragh Davey Kelly, Cullen Lambert, Jude Lambert, Craig Touhy, David Olokun, Soheib Ameur, Afolarin Yusuff, Toheeb Kasali, Callum Forte, Luke O’Reilly, Millie Davey Kelly, Ryan Lee, Emmanuel Adenola, Michael White, Jamie Brannigan, Andrew Keogh.

We have now used 20 players over the 2 matches and hope to bring more players over the next 3 matches.
