Work in the Garden

Frank and Jason made us some new timber surrounds for the beds in the garden. So on Friday with the help of Frank and some strong lads from 6th class we placed in the surrounds and the lads filled up the wheelbarrows with compost and topsoil and filled up 3 beds. These beds are now ready to be planted. Thank you Frank and well done boys.

School Garden

On Tuesday last Ms Harrington’s class came to the garden and started the job of taking up the daffodil bulbs to store them for next spring. They did a great job and nearly cleared all the beds. Well done!

Spring Clean 2011

On Monday last April 11th a lot of children from our school, along with some parents, special needs assistants, teachers and Fr Joe took part in a very successful spring clean of Bawnogue in preparation for the Confirmation on Wednesday. The children were fantastic and some of them filled 2 bags full of litter. When we were finished a County Council lorry came along and took away our rubbish. There was a full trailer load! Well done to everybody who took part and thank you Fr Joe for the lollipops.

Enrichment Club

The Enrichment Club finished up last Thursday. We had such a great time – we did:

Animation, computer programming, chess, brainteasers, constructed bridges, learned about architecture and engineering and much more! As Louis said  – we learned how “to think outside the box!”
