Talbot Senior National School and St Anne’s National School, Ardclough  have formed a digital cluster to work together on developing digital skills through using LEGO WeDo 2.0.  This project is funded by the Department of Education Schools of Excellence Fund. Over the next three years children in Talbot will participate in this project using LEGO and chrome books.

WeDo 2.0 from LEGO Education is a fantastic new learning tool designed to introduce children to robotics, engineering, programming and general STEM teaching through a robot- based learning system. The basic package comes with 280 building elements, a bluetooth Low Energy-based hub which connects to a motor, as well as motion and tilt sensors.

Ms Bradley’s 4th class and Ms Treacy’s 4th class will work with WeDo 2.0 over the next 6 weeks with Mr Carty and Mr Moore. After Easter WeDo 2.0 will commence in Ms Ward’s and Ms Jones’ 4th class.
