Parent, Guardian and Child Christmas Art & Craft Morning

We had a lovely parent and guardian art morning in our hall on Monday 18th December!

Children in 3rd class joined their parents and came down to our hall to make something nice for Christmas.

The children in 3rd class made Christmas art and craft ideas using card, paper, decorations, pictures, colours and markers. It was great to see so many of our Talbot parents, grandparents, guardians in attendance. Thanks for everyone for coming and for making it such a festive and fun morning!

For Parents: Dates and Events re Confirmation 2024

Holy Spirit dove fire windDear Parents/Guardians of children making their Confirmation,

There’s lots involved in preparing for Confirmation. The following events involve you. Please make sure you put all the dates and times into your diaries.

  1. Parents Confirmation Talk: Monday 8th April, 2024, 7: 30pm, in Bawnogue Church. This is just for parents/guardians, not the children. We are very lucky to have parent Ronan Barry return to lead this talk and discussion.
  2. Ceremony of Light: Thursday, 18th April, 2024, 7pm in Bawnogue Church. Please bring your child’s baptismal candle (or other candle if not possible).

This is a very important part of the pre-Confirmation preparation. A key part of the service is when you as parents hand the lighted Baptismal candle to your child, acknowledging that he or she is now ready to become a responsible Christian. In doing so, parents promise to help and support their child live out the call of their Confirmation. They are agreeing, together with their child, to keep the light of faith burning in all of their lives.

  1. Confirmation:
  • 11am Thursday 2nd May: Ms McEvoy’s and Mr Gordon’s classes
  • 1pm Thursday 2nd May: Ms Bradley’s and Mr Moore’s classes

Before each event we will send on more details. Looking forward to seeing you soon. God bless,

C. McEvoy, R. Gordon, M. Bradley, M. Moore, M. Stuart
(6th Class Teachers & Confirmation Coordinator)

(The above information was sent home to parents on 26/10/23 on paper and via Aladdin)
