Amber Flag

Monday was a great day here in Talbot SNS as we celebrated the hoisting of our very first Amber Flag! Fourth classes headed outside in the afternoon to raise our flag and celebrate the amazing work we have done this year to support a positive mental health in our school. All classes then received a nice treat in the afternoon curtesy of our Parents Association to celebrate their great achievement.

The Amber Flag is awarded by Pieta House in recognition of the great efforts we are making in our school to support children’s mental health and wellbeing.

A HUGE well done to everyone on our achievement! Keep up the great work!

‘The Brighter, The Better’ Awareness Day in Aid of Pieta House

On Friday 23rd of April, Talbot held a ‘The Brighter, The Better’ non-uniform day in aid of Pieta House.

Students and staff wore their brightest colours to help lift our moods, all whilst raising money for the excellent services offered by Pieta House. A huge thank you to everyone for getting involved!

Take a look at the pictures below to see how colourful some of our classes were!

Food Dudes Programme Begins Today!

Our Food Dudes Programme is starting again today. The idea of the programme is that the children taste fruit and vegetables on a daily basis over the next couple of weeks. The more they taste the more they will enjoy! It has been proven to be successful in changing and improving childrens eating habits! Of course parental encouragement is key in maintaining healthy food habits so be sure to chat with your children about what they are tasting in school this week. For more information on what is involved please click here.

Move That Mood Wall!
