Information on Returning to School Safely!

As we are working on keeping our school Covid Free Please Please Read the information in the leaflets attached! 

There is information on what to do if your child feels unwell, about what to do if you are a close contact of someone with Covid 19, and of course remembering how important it is to keep Washing our Hands!

Also please remember to sign up to our Aladdin Connect –There is free entry to our draw for an Easter Basket for everyone who signs up before Friday!

Great news! Talbot SNS has signed up to Aladdin Connect! 

Aladdin Connect is a fantastic way to enhance a school’s communication with parents. It enables parents to stay connected and informed about their child’s education by:

  • Ensuring that the school has their most up to date contact information.
  • Gathering permission from parents for school outings etc.
  • Allowing parents to choose time slots quickly and easily for parent teacher meetings.
  • Keeping parent up to date with their child’s attendance.
  • Keeping parents up to date on school & classroom news via noticeboard and messages.
  • Allowing parents to view their child’s school report.

Squeeze in a Read – Thursday 25th February

We at Talbot are going to ‘Squeeze in a Read’ tomorrow Thursday 25th February, as it is Irelands National Read for Enjoyment Day. The children can take a video/photo of themselves reading by themselves or with a sibling/parent and post it on SeesSaw. We hope that everyone both adults and children find some time tomorrow to Squeeze in a Read! 

 

Parenting Webinar: Supporting your Child

Supporting your Child – A Webinar for Parents of Primary School Children

This webinar will explore how to support your child’s emotional wellbeing whilst also taking care of your own. It will identify how to motivate your child depending on age and examine how to connect with your child.

The webinar is facilitated by Nicola Culloty who is a primary educator with twenty years’ experience working with disadvantaged communities. As Home School Community Liaison she formed an authentic and lasting partnership with parents from one of the most deprived areas in Ireland.  Nicola completed a Masters in CBT and Full Circle CBT in 2020.
