Virtual Graduation!!

Dear 6th Class,

6th class is always a special year for you and we understand how disappointed you are not to be finishing it the normal way.

Every year in Talbot SNS, we hold a beautiful graduation ceremony to celebrate finishing primary school for our 6th class students and families.

Unfortunately we just can’t do that this year but……

We will have a VIRTUAL GRADUATION!

Yes! Each class will be invited to a special Online Graduation Ceremony where we can celebrate your 4 amazing years in Talbot!

Don’t forget, we must have consent from your parents or guardians and you must agree to the Zoom rules.

We want every 6th class pupil to attend. Don’t worry if you feel shy, you don’t have to say anything but we would love to see you!

Your teacher will fill you in with further details!

Take Care!

June Writing Competitions

During the month of June, Talbot Senior School is holding two writing competitions:

1. Poetry Competition

Title: Summer

Write about what summer means to you. Remember to use your senses when writing: What do you hear? see? smell? feel? notice? If you wish to write about your experiences of this 2020 summer so far, that would be great too, what you are doing? What you are missing? What is fun? What you are hoping and planning for? The choice is yours.

We are so looking forward to reading your ideas. Enjoy this poetry challenge!

Label your entry “Poetry Competition”. Remember to clearly write your name on class on each entry. Upload your entry to your Seesaw page. (Online entries only)

Closing Date: Friday 19th June

Mr Ryan will adjudicate and he will select winners from all classes. So get writing, as you are in with a great chance!

2. Handwriting Competition

Show off your handwriting and be in with a chance to win a prize.

Directions: Hand write this poem and label “Handwriting Competition”:

It’s Virtual Sports Time.

Fasten your laces,

Toes behind the line,

The sun is shining,

It’s Virtual Sports Time!

It’s time to have races,

It’s time to have fun,

On your marks, get set…

Jump!

Skip!

Run!

It’s time for a cold drink,

It’s time for a rest,

Well done everyone,

You’ve all done your best!

Clearly write your name and class, photograph and upload to Seesaw.

Closing Date: Friday 19th June
