Sr. Catherine’s name was pulled out for the 1st hamper but she kindly donated it back into the raffle. Geraldine kindly donated her hamper to charity!

Weather Warning – School Closed

In view of the severe weather warning and healthy & safety, the school will be closed on Wednesday 22nd and Thursday 23rd of December.

Maths For Fun

Ms. Walsh’s class completed their last Maths For Fun session this morning. A huge thank you to Martina, Orla, Nicola, Rachel, Lisa and Ann-Marie for taking part.

Mr. Stuart’s and Ms. Doherty’s classes will complete their last 2 sessions in January!

Mass on the 8th

Because of the terrible weather conditions this week we couldn’t go to the church on Tuesday to celebrate the Immaculate Conception, so Father Joe came to us. Our whole school community was in the hall and Fr Joe celebrated a lovely Mass with us. Thank you to everybody and especially Fr Joe.

Feeding the Birds

Since the cold weather started we have been feeding the birds. Mr Byrne’s class made a great bird feeder out of an empty plastic bottle and we hung it up on our bird feeding station, along with our other feeders. Sean is in charge of feeding the birds and he never forgets. Every day he has been breaking the ice on their water container and filling it up with fresh water, as well as filling the feeders. Well done Sean!

The Garden in the snow

When we came back to school on Monday last every place was covered in snow. Here are some pictures of the garden under a blanket of snow – not a weed in sight!!

Hamper

Look at one of our great hampers to be won this Christmas. All the staff of Talbot donated prizes to create this hamper. And would you believe, we actually have 2 hampers!

Tickets cost €1 a strip! Get buying!
