Book Swap!

To celebrate World Book Day, children from Mr. Molloy’s class brought in a book that they have read and enjoyed. They told the rest of the class about their book and why they liked it. If another child in the class was interested in reading it, they could swap books! Such a great idea!

Count 4 Success!

Yesterday, Talbot SNS hosted our first “Count 4 Success” event. Junior Achievement organised the whole day. They trained volunteers from the company SAP who came to the school to deliver the Count 4 Success programme. 75 children from Talbot SNS, St. Ronan’s and Clonburris were invited to take part. Their parents were also invited to come and see what was going on. In groups, the children played Maths games and conducted forensic science experiments! It was a fantastic day!

Talbot SNS would like to thank Junior Achievement for organising the day, the volunteers from SAP for working with the children all day, Nano Nagle for allowing us to use their hall for the event and a special thank you to all the children who took part – their behaviour was impeccable all day!
